Gun Oker-Blom is since January 2016 director for the Department for Education in Swedish, at the Finnish National Agency for Education. She has a Master’s degree in Nordic languages and literature from Helsinki University, as well as a Finnish Teacher’s examination from Åbo akademi university,  and a Master’s degree in linguistics from State University of New York, which she took as an ASLA-Fulbright-post graduate.
