Maria Soledad Ramirez Montoya is professor and researcher full-time starter at the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he advises thesis and teaches courses for Master programs in Educational Technology and PhD in Educational Innovation, in the form e-learning. She is also a research professor invited by the University of Salamanca where he advises thesis and teaches courses in the PhD program Training Knowledge Society.
She studied Early Childhood Education teacher at the Normal School of the State of Sonora, Bachelor of Science in Education at the Technological Institute of Sonora. With the support of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the Ministry of Education of Sonora studied Masters in Educational Technology and PhD in Philosophy and Educational Sciences and Psychology of Education: Curriculum and Instruction at the University Salamanca (Spain).
Her research interests include the open educational movement, innovative teaching strategies, technological resources for education and training of educational researchers. Its lines are consulting models and teaching strategies; innovative learning environments; resources for training; educational innovation; elearning environments, bLearning and mlearning; training of educational researchers.
Her professional experience includes teaching activities at all educational levels, addresses and pedagogical consulting department. She was Secretary General of the Mexican Council for Educational Research (COMIE) and Chairperson of applications and allocation of funds of the University Corporation for Internet Development (CUDI). She is a member of the National System of Researchers, coordinator of the Research and Innovation in Education Tecnologico de Monterrey, senior research on the Web Strengthening Information Society Research Capacity Alliance (SIRCA), main organizer of the Regional Latin American Network Open Social and Educational Research (CLARISE), director of the office of the International Council for open of Distance education (ICDE): “Latin America’s open education Movement” and director of the UNESCO Chair “open educational Movement for Latin America”
