Eileen has over 35 years’ experience leading transformational change in the education systems in the UK and internationally. Her work as a classteacher, headteacher, adviser, inspector, director and policy adviser has given her a broad range of experience and expertise in improving educational provision and changing systems. She has devised and delivered a number of ground-breaking educational policies such as the National Strategies and London Challenge. She has provided advice and support on educational policy and practice to government ministers and senior leaders within the UK and other systems.
Eileen has also been involved in a number of international educational programmes such as curriculum design and development in Rwanda and China, leadership development in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Eileen now runs her own consultancy business and currently works as a senior consultant with Babcock Education. She has recently worked as a policy adviser with the DfE in England and DfES in Wales providing support for the National Model Advisory Group and is an International Associate with the National College for Leadership of Teaching and Learning. She is a member of ICSEI (the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement) and regularly presents papers at their annual conference.
