Areas of educational interest: Use of technology in learning and teaching, change management, education in developing countries, teacher productivity, teaching mathematics and how people behave and learn with the capacity of technology what it is today.
Why I’m involved in Education Fast Forward: As an ex-teacher I have seen at first hand the impact that a good education can make on a child’s future. Not much can beat seeing, for example, a former student giving a talk at TED or the smile when somebody gets a new concept. The challenge today is to equip learners for life in this, the third millennium, and give teachers the tools to be truly effective and realise them from administrative drudgery to be able to help learners learn. Education Fast Forward brings together thought leaders from across the globe that have a passion and are committed to making sure that education is fit for purpose. Being part of Education Fast Forward provides a forum to discuss the fundamental issues in education today and offers a real opportunity to effect change.
